Getting started
How do I register a dog?
Create a free account, open Register Dog, fill in the details and take three identity photos (front, left, right). Registry staff review the submission and, once approved, the dog appears in the public registry.
What is the registration number format?
Registration numbers look like HNM-2026-000123 and are generated automatically when you submit a dog.
Why three photos?
Photos are fingerprinted to stop the same dog being registered twice and to make sure each record is a unique animal.
Certificates
How do I get a certificate?
Open Certificates, choose your approved dog and certificate type, submit the application and pay the fee. Staff verify payment and checks, then issue the certificate.
How much do certificates cost?
Registration $15, Ownership Transfer $10, Pedigree $20, DNA Verification $25, Veterinary Clearance $15, Litter $20 (fees can be changed by the administrator).
How do I verify a certificate?
Use the Verify page or scan the QR code on the certificate. It shows whether the certificate is authentic, revoked or expired.
Ownership & breeding
How does a transfer work?
The current owner enters the new owner's registered email. The new owner confirms, then registry staff approve and the record moves automatically.
Can I use another owner's dog as a parent?
Yes, with their permission. Send a Parent Permission Request; once they approve you can select their dog as sire or dam.
What is the inbreeding coefficient?
A percentage showing how closely related the parents are. Below 3.1% is low; above 12.5% is high risk.
